Irritated with Ignorance

I would like to know how many New Mexicans will be blasting off to space in the next couple years? Ok and how many will be going to college? Which one is more realistic, please help me figure this out. This increased tax is plain stupid. The federal, state, and corporate companies have more than ENOUGH money to finance this bad investment. Our taxes are high as it is, and if were approving a tax increase it better be going to a good investment, a promising investment, our EDUCATION! I read NMSU had to increase their tuition, and I am sure UNM will follow. Las Cruces High School is ghastly over crowded; there is a teacher shortage because our salaries are not competitive enough and we haven't had a quality school board and superintendent in years! Oh but our brilliant county commission and selfless servant of the public Bill Richardson were touting them horns for this tax increase; well those horns were loud and clear. What is going on New Mexico? We need to get our priorities straight, quality education is the key to progress in our beloved state. We have these self righteous "community planners" on the county commission with Harvard mouths and sugar gum drop smiles and everyone thinks, "oh they must know what is best for my community". No you are wrong! Only you know what is best for your community, you grew up here, worked here, raised a family here! We have the tainted Eastern money and political sharks that are developing our beloved New Mexico into their very own money trees. I really am worried for our state and for our people, the good life we all have lived may not be there for our grandchildren. Let us invest into our future a smarter way, let us preserve our history, let us defiantly make a stand together against the outsiders free hands at our wallets, Let us cut those free hands right off! Progress is natural and needed in a society, but progress un checked is dangerous. The man with biggest pocket book will choose what progress is necessary for the rest of us "ignorant" locals. Vote wisely my friends. Vote New Mexican.
